National holding company Uzbekneftegaz and Azerbaijan’s state company SOCAR signed a memorandum of understanding on development of cooperation.
The document was signed within the 20th Anniversary International Exhibition and Conference Oil and Gas Uzbekistan (OGU-2016) in Tashkent. A delegation led by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev is attending the event.

The memorandum envisages cooperation on exploration and development of oil and gas fields and other issues of energy cooperation.

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev also held talks with Gulomjon Ibragimov, Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and Alisher Sultanov, Chairman of the Board of Management of Uzbekneftegaz.

The sides discussed development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, prospects of energy cooperation, the possibilities for cooperation between SOCAR and Uzbekneftegaz.
