The Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held an event in cooperation with the “Nuroniy” Fund for social support of veterans of Uzbekistan.
Chairman of the Board of the “Nuroniy” Fund for social support of veterans of Uzbekistan Sh.Jalilov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan U.Vafoyev and others noted that a large-scale work on rendering high respect and honor to veterans, lonely elderly, pensioners and invalids, further expansion of social and medical assistance provided to them, is being held in our country.
At the event, it was noted that a memorandum was signed between the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and the “Nuroniy” Fund. It is planned to organize a club of veterans at the party, aimed at effective use of experience and potential of veterans, further increasing their interest and aspirations to life.
Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures of further improving the activities of the “Nuroniy” Fund for social support of veterans of Uzbekistan”, the resolution “On additional measures of further improving the system of state support for the elderly and disabled people” of December 28, 2016, as well as the resolution “On additional measures of improving the mechanism of payment of wages, pensions, allowances and scholarships” of February 2, 2017 contribute to the formation of an effective system of pensions provision and social security which guarantees the full satisfaction of vital needs of pensioners, disabled people, other disabled social groups of the population.
In accordance with the State Program “Year of dialogue with people and human interests”, veterans of the war and labor front of 1941-1945, pensioners, disabled people, lonely elderly and other needy strata of the population are using the service of sanatoriums free of charge, disabled people and lonely elderly are provided with prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation. This year, the party studied the problems of 2 905 needy citizens, 450 members of low-income families received practical assistance in obtaining concessional loans for 1 billion sums for establishing their activities. With the assistance of party groups in local Kengashes, more than a thousand of almost 1,5 thousand appeals on various issues that were received during open dialogues with the population, were solved positively.
At the event, views were exchanged on further improvement and expansion of activities in this direction.
