Deputy PM Tanzila Narbayeva holds talks with representatives of EU institutions in Brussels

Delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Prime Minister Tanzila Narbayeva, within the framework of their visit to Belgium, held meetings with representatives of the European Union institutions, International Trade Union Confederation, as well as NGOs operating in Brussels, the press service of the MFA said.
During the meetings with the Chief Foreign Policy Adviser of the European Council President Riina Kionka and the EEAS Principal Advisor on Gender and on Women, Peace and Security Mara Marinaki, the sides exchanged views on priority issues for further development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EU.
The sides noted the high dynamics of cooperation in a number of areas and presence of significant potential for further expansion of relations.
The European side praised the effectiveness of reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It was noted that the EU is very optimistic about changes taking place in Uzbekistan and is ready to provide all possible assistance in continuation of transformation process.
The delegation of Uzbekistan, on the same day, visited the International Trade Union Confederation headquarter and got acquainted with activities of PAG-ASA – Center for Victims of Human Trafficking.
