On May 27, representatives of TEAM University will hold a briefing on YouTube, where they will announce the cost of training and answer questions from students.
TEAM University, the first entrepreneurial university in Uzbekistan which opens its doors this year in partnership with London South Bank University (an institution with 120 years of history and included in the TOP-1000 universities in the world according to QS), will conduct an online briefing for applicants and their parents.
Education at the university will be carried out according to the British system. In the first year, training will be concentrated on the basics of economic theory, business and start-up projects, deepening language skills and developing the basic competencies necessary for further studies. In particular, emphasis will be placed on the development of critical thinking, communication, presentation skills and other soft skills.
Students will receive important tools and instructions for independent work and the use of academic literature. They will choose student clubs that best suit their interests and will contribute to the development of individual competencies. From the first weeks at the university, students will be immersed in the atmosphere of exciting student life.
As part of the training program, students will be able to choose one of several specializations in theory and practice in the fields of entrepreneurship, marketing, as well as the hospitality and tourism industries. The exact names of the specialties are still being agreed with the LSBU academic team as part of the validation process. But graduates will definitely be innovative in spirit, regardless of what path they choose – to open their own business, work as freelancers or get a job in local and international companies.
The language of instruction at TEAM University is English. Graduates who successfully complete their studies will receive two diplomas: one confirming higher education in Uzbekistan and another – from LSBU, recognized abroad.
Education and knowledge should be practical. The university is founded and supported by one of the leading entrepreneurs of the country, as well as a strong academic team with vast experience in Uzbekistan and abroad.
TEAM University students will have the opportunity to constantly communicate with representatives of the business community and, with the support of the university’s career center, will be guaranteed internships at various companies in the country. Students will have personal and group mentors with whom they will be able to meet regularly at networking meetings and business breakfasts. In addition, they will be able to start their startup projects within the walls of TEAM University as part of a business incubator.
To apply for the university, one must upload in an online form:
• a copy of the IELTS certificate with a minimum score of 5.5 (or the equivalent, including IELTS Indicator);
• a copy of the certificate of secondary or specialized secondary education;
• a passport copy;
• completed university application form.
Applicants with the highest IELTS scores and the best academic performance indicators will be given priority. In addition, special attention will be paid to the application of candidates who have leadership skills and motivation, as well as their volunteering experience.
The selection committee will begin its work in July, news about this will be published on the university’s website and on its social network pages.
This year alone, celebrating the establishment of the university, all applicants who have successfully passed the selection and written a motivation letter or filmed a video will receive a 35% grant (celebration scholarship). In the future, TEAM will implement an extensive talent support system through the allocation of grants based on student performance (merit-based scholarships), which can be up to 100% of the cost of training.

The Rector of the university Alisher Khasanov and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees Alan France, as well as the founders of TEAM University – Zafar Khashimov and Hikmat Abdurakhmanov, will deliver a speech at the briefing.
