On November 28, at the invitation of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to the city of Ashgabat to participate in the 15th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
In accordance with the agenda of the event, issues of further expanding multilateral partnerships within the organization, primarily the development of trade relations, increasing the transit potential of the region, promoting the "green economy" initiative and introducing innovations, will be considered.
Following the summit, the parties will adopt a final document of the meeting.
Reportedly, a number of bilateral meetings are planned within the framework of the visit to Turkmenistan.
The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a regional multilateral structure established in 1985 to promote the development of close trade and economic ties between the countries of the region.
Currently, ECO has 10 member countries – Uzbekistan, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
