The lime production enterprise located in the colony-settlement 35 in Karshi illegally used natural gas and caused a loss of 1.3 billion soums to the interests of the state and society, “Khududgaz Kashkadarya” gas supply branch informs about this.
It was reported that the Karshi city department under the Prosecutor General’s Office, in cooperation with the responsible staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, conducted an investigation in the 4th regional area of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, colony-settlement 35.
During the inspection, it was found that two lime kilns, which were arbitrarily connected to the gas network, were operating in the production area of the colony-settlement.
As a result of the fact that the officials of colony-settlement were indifferent to their duties and illegally used gas, damage in the amount of 1 billion 296 million soums was caused to the state and society.
According to calculations, the volume of illegally used gas in the colony-settlement was 1 million 296 thousand 405 cubic meters. This is the amount that can supply 1,800 households with natural gas for 1 month.

Earlier, in Jizzakh, a lime factory was discovered, which was secretly connected to the gas network. It caused damage to the state in the amount of 1.7 billion soums.
