Passenger bus completely burned down in Tashkent
Recently, a Mercedes-Benz bus, passing by the “Ashgabat” recreation park, caught fire. According to the preliminary version, the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electrical wiring of the bus. The driver tried to put out the fire, but the flames were strong and the bus burned down completely.

On May 21, footage of a burning Mercedes-Benz 96 bus appeared on social networks. According to Toshshahartranskhizmat JSC, this bus, which belongs to a branch of the 2-bus depot, was manufactured in 2012 and has traveled 882,589 km since the start of operation.
It is noted that during the movement of the bus driver at the intersection of the “Ashgabat” recreation park in the Yashnabad district, a short circuit occurred in the electrical wiring of the vehicle, the electrical wires caught fire. At the same time, the driver tried to immediately extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher, but it was not possible to extinguish it due to strong burning. The bus was completely burned out.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and extinguished the flames. There were no casualties as a result of the incident.
“Currently, an internal audit has been assigned against employees of the production and technical department of Tashshahartranskhizmat JSC,” the official statement reads.
Is should be recalled that since this year, the fires of Mercedes-Benz cars, which have been operating on routes for many years, have become more frequent. In particular, on January 26, a fire broke out in bus No. 147, heading towards the “Chorsu-Chilanzar” commodity market.
After 2 days, a fire broke out in a Mercedes-Benz passenger bus, which was traveling along Sh. Rustaveli Street, Yakkasaray district.
On April 29, a Mercedes-Benz bus, which was traveling along Mukimi Street in the Rakat mahalla, also caught fire.
