According to them, Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev headed the Kazakh delegation at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

At a meeting with the Board Chairman of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, an agreement was signed between the Russian company and QazaqGaz on the transportation of Russian natural gas to consumers in Uzbekistan.

Cooperation in the field of gas supplies, processing and transportation was also discussed.

In addition, during the SPIEF, the energy ministers of Kazakhstan and Russia extended intergovernmental agreements on the transit of Russian oil with an increase in volumes up to 10 million tons by the end of 2033.

It should be recalled that on May 30, the Board Chairman of Gazprom Alexey Miller held a working meeting with the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov. The parties discussed the progress and prospects of cooperation, including on the issue of Russian gas supplies to Uzbekistan.

In addition, on January 24, a working meeting between Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and Alexey Miller took place. At the meeting, the parties signed a "roadmap" for cooperation in the gas industry.

Later, the press service of the Ministry of Energy reported that in accordance with the signed "roadmap", a working group was created between the parties. It will take the technical measures necessary for the transit of Russian gas through the Central Asia-Center gas pipeline passing through the territory of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. After the working group technically completes all the work, the main conditions for the supply of natural gas will be discussed.

It is noted that the negotiations and the "roadmap" are aimed at supplying natural gas to the domestic market in the required volumes while fully maintaining ownership of the existing gas transmission system of Uzbekistan.

The head of the Ministry of Energy, Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, also commented on the "roadmap" drawn up with Russia on the issue of gas imports.
