Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with Head of Tatarstan
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the city of Kazan as part of his official visit to the Russian Federation.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state noted with pleasure that high results have been achieved in mutual cooperation in recent years. The volume of trade and investment is increasing. In the Tashkent region, the Chirchik chemical-industrial technology park is successfully operating, and the construction of the technology park in the Jizzakh region continues.
Large-scale cooperation projects are being implemented in the chemical industry and mechanical engineering. A branch of Kazan Federal University is operating in Jizzakh.


The results of the third Uzbek-Russian interregional cooperation forum held yesterday in the city of Kazan were noted, including the agreements reached on the establishment of new industrial parks with the Russian technoparks “Alabuga” and “Master” in the territories of Uzbekistan.
Implementation of prospective cooperation projects in metal processing, information and communication, housing and communal areas, expansion of cooperation in education, tourism and youth policies were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to promote practical partnership projects in important directions based on joint “roadmaps”.

Earlier, as part of his official visit to Russia, the head of state visited the historical and architectural museum-reserve “Kazan Kremlin” and also watched the exhibition of Tatarstan’s industrial potential at the “Kazan Expo” center.
