Uzbekistan lags behind in minimum wage rankings, positioned 113th
In 2020, Uzbekistan ranked 113th in the minimum wage ranking prepared by World Population Review, with an annual minimum wage of $1,041 and an hourly rate of just $0.5, which is 30 times lower than that of leading countries.
The ranking covers 154 countries based on 2020 data, and to make the comparison easier, it is presented in US dollars.
According to the ranking, Uzbekistan's annual minimum wage was $1,041, and the hourly rate was $0.5.
The highest figures were recorded in Australia (annual $34,500 / hourly $17.4), New Zealand ($33,400 / $16.1), and Luxembourg ($32,100 / $15.4).
The minimum wage refers to the lowest amount of money an employer can pay employees for a unit of work, which is usually calculated on an hourly or monthly basis, but sometimes may be presented as a daily or weekly rate.

It is noted that many countries adjust their minimum wage annually, so these rankings may change after the 2021 global data is compiled.
