2025 to be declared "Alisher Navoi Year" in Navoi region
In celebration of the 584th anniversary of Alisher Navoi's birth, the year 2025 will be officially designated as "Alisher Navoi Year" in Navoi Region. To ensure the year is marked at the highest level, a national commission and action plan have been approved.

A presidential decree has also been issued to promote the creative legacy of the great poet and thinker, both within Uzbekistan and internationally, ensuring that the celebrations in Navoi Region are held with utmost significance.
To further study and widely promote Alisher Navoi's creative heritage, the state commission and the action plan will work to ensure that the "Alisher Navoi Year" celebrations in Navoi Region are carried out with excellence.
To advance the study of Alisher Navoi's legacy, scientific research will be conducted systematically in both our country and abroad, with the results published widely. New scientific, literary, and popular works will be created, and works by foreign Navoi scholars and artists will be translated and published in Uzbek. These efforts are a primary responsibility of the State Commission.
The traditional international symposium "Alisher Navoi and the Eastern Renaissance," along with Navoi readings, will be organized to a high standard.
Navoi State University will host an international scientific conference from October 10-15, 2025, on the topic "The Role of Alisher Navoi's Scientific and Literary Heritage in the Spiritual and Educational Development of Mankind."
Additionally, a national competition titled "Understanding Hazrat Navoi – Understanding Ourselves" will be held, along with the organization of "Navoi Evenings" in educational institutions and local communities.
