Gov’t introduces new support programs for vulnerable groups
Starting April 2025, new support measures will be introduced for families listed in the Register of Low-Income Families through the “Social Registers” funds, following a presidential decree aimed at improving the financing procedures of the social protection system.

The following new support mechanisms will be introduced for families listed in the Register of Low-Income Families through the “Social Registers” funds, effective April 1, 2025:
- Grants of up to 60 times the base calculation unit (BCU) will be allocated to social projects focused on promoting employment and social engagement for at least three groups, including women, youth, and other vulnerable populations. These funds will be distributed through the “Women’s Register,” “Youth Register,” and “Charity and Assistance” programs.
From the “Youth Register” fund:
- Covering monthly travel expenses up to 1 BCU for young people with disabilities to participate in para sports clubs;
- Providing special sports uniforms, equipment, music, and musical instruments for youth who have regularly attended sports and arts clubs for six months, with a value not exceeding 10 times the BCU;
- Offering financial support for the restoration and repair of homes for families affected by natural disasters, such as fires, floods, earthquakes, and other man-made accidents, with assistance of up to 150 times the BCU through the “Charity and Assistance” fund.
