During the meeting, the president stressed the need to expand the scope of AI-assisted diagnostics in medicine. Authorities plan to work with international partners to introduce AI-based medical imaging analysis in specialized medical centers, focusing on the early detection of liver, lung and prostate cancers, as well as heart attacks and complex bone fractures.
Beginning next academic year, schools, technical colleges and universities across the country will introduce AI training for students. Informatics teachers are currently being prepared for the new curriculum. However, the president noted that digital literacy should not be limited to these teachers alone; instead, entire school teams must learn to use AI tools to reduce teachers’ workload and free up time for professional development.
New approaches for the education sector were also discussed. Officials proposed launching an AI-powered platform for schools that would include a virtual assistant for teachers. Integrated into the platform, the assistant would help teachers prepare lecture materials, presentations, tests and lesson plans, and support them in managing examination processes.

The meeting also reviewed a program designed to enhance the qualifications of regional governors’ advisers on digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
In the transport sector, officials presented projects aimed at strengthening road and railway safety through AI. These include systems to automatically detect traffic violations and AI-based monitoring tools to assess the technical condition of rail wagons and reduce accident risks.
New initiatives in space technologies were also highlighted. Progress on the development of the Samarqand-2028 remote-sensing satellite was reviewed, with plans to equip it with an AI module. Images captured by the satellite will be used for preliminary assessment of air quality, as well as monitoring agricultural crops and forests.
Concluding the presentation, President Mirziyoyev instructed officials to accelerate implementation of the proposed projects and expand the use of artificial intelligence across economic sectors and social services.
