A presidential resolution on measures for further development of horse breeding and equestrian sport has been adopted, the Ministry of Justice reported.
In accordance with the resolution, in 2019–2020, equestrian schools for children and youth will be created on the terms of a public-private partnership in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Navoi, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, Tashkent, Khorezm regions and Tashkent city.
An innovative genetic center for breeding Karabair horses will be created.
Equestrian schools will be organized in the territories of hippodromes.
In 2019, regional and republican championships in equestrian sport will be held.
Rehabilitation of children with disabilities in physical or mental development, studying in specialized educational institutions, through hippotherapy (a form of physical, occupational and speech therapy that uses equine (horse) movement to develop and enhance neurological and physical functioning by channeling the movement of the horse) will be organized.
