PDPU: Total incomes of the population grew by 123% in Q1 2019 

In the first quarter of 2019, the total income of the population of Uzbekistan increased by 123.1% compared with the same period last year. This was reported at PDPU’s (People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan) meeting in the Legislative Chamber.

According to the press service of the parliament, deputies discussed the report of the Finance Ministry on execution of the state budget and budgets of state trust funds in 2018, as well as in the first quarter of 2019.

In January-April 2019, total income of the population amounted to 64.9 trillion soums and increased by 123.1% compared with the same period in 2018. Taking into account the change in consumer prices, the real growth rate of the total income of the population was 108.6%.

It was emphasized that the funds, in the amount of 54.4% of the total expenditures from the state budget, were spent to finance social expenses.

It is also reported that according to the results of 2018, total incomes of the population amounted to 286.3 trillion soums and exceeded the figures for 2017 by 110.3%. “This testifies to the effective implementation of a number of measures aimed at increasing the real income of citizens,” the press service noted.
