A presidential decree (PF-5594, 12.12.18) on measures to radically improve the system of public administration and control in industry, radiation and nuclear safety was adopted.
According to the report of telegram channel of the Ministry of Justice, in compliance with the decree, the State Committee for the Protection of Industrial Safety and its territorial subdivisions on the basis of the State Inspectorate for supervision of the safety of works in the geological study of the earth, industry, mining and communal services has been established.
The Committee is a part of the governmental complex of geology, fuel and energy complex, chemical, petrochemical and metallurgical industries.
In accordance with the decree, main tasks of the Committee are the followings:
• provision of radiation and nuclear safety;
• implementing the State supervision and control over observance of the legislation on industrial, radiation and nuclear safety, exploitation of recreational parks;
• licensing the use of atomic energy.
The Committee is included in the list of state bodies and other state organizations, which means the heads may submit a petition for requesting permanent residence for their employees in Tashkent city and Tashkent region.
