The presidential decree “On measures to further develop the pharmaceutical network of the republic in 2019-2021” has been adopted.
According to the decree, the State unitary enterprise “Uzmedimpeks” of the Agency for pharmaceutical network development has been transferred to the Ministry of Health.
In accordance with the document, a Roadmap for accelerated development of the pharmaceutical network of Uzbekistan in 2019-2021 has been approved.
Within the framework of the Roadmap, the list of raw materials, pharmaceuticals and medical equipment for the industrial production which is exempt from the VAT on imports until 1 July 2019 will be confirmed.
Production of 10 types of pharmaceutical products will be localized in 2019-2021. These include antibiotics, medicines for viruses and oncological diseases.
