The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the opening of a “green corridor” for perishable goods at the “Dostuk” checkpoint, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Representatives of the ministries of agriculture and veterinary services, as well as representatives of business associations and exporters of the two countries took part in the discussion of the agenda.
“The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to conduct monitoring on February 20-21 at the “Dostuk” checkpoint and confirm the expediency of opening a separate passage for perishable products. The customs service of Uzbekistan is also ready to provide all possible assistance in the unhindered movement of goods from Kyrgyzstan,” the CCI said.
It is noted that the Uzbek side is interested in importing Kyrgyz trout and is ready to collect all proposals from the fish farms of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the parties agreed to open trading houses in both countries, and the Uzbek textile associations expressed their desire to act as initiators.
