Otabek Umarov becomes head of an international organization
The head of the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Association of Uzbekistan Otabek Umarov has been appointed head of the Central Asian MMA Confederation.

According to the press service of UMMAA, the Association of Mixed Martial Arts of Uzbekistan has joined the IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation).
“On February 9, a press conference was held in Nur-Sultan on the results of the work of the IMMAF Council. Within its framework, the Central Asian MMA Confederation was formed. The president of the UMMAA Otabek Umarov was elected head of this organization, Iskander Karim and Valikhan Ten were appointed vice presidents of it,” the press service said.
It has also become known that the Asian MMA championship will be held for the first time in the capital of Kazakhstan in June 2020.
It should be recalled that in November 2019, the Association of Mixed Martial Arts was created in Uzbekistan. Otabek Umarov was elected head of the Association.
In March 2019, Otabek Umarov became the chairman of the Triathlon Federation of Uzbekistan.
