Traffic accidents killed 265 people in Uzbekistan in two months
In January-February 2021, 802 traffic accidents were recorded in Uzbekistan.
According to the Traffic Safety Department, 265 people were killed as a result of road accidents. Most of them died at the scene of the tragedy.
Reportedly, 724 people received injuries of varying severity.
In 103 road accidents, children were injured, in 393 – pedestrians. For two months from the beginning of the year, 14 out of 802 road accidents occurred due to the fault of drunk drivers.
Most of the tragic incidents were recorded on the roads of Tashkent (116), Tashkent region (109) and Namangan (79).
