Abdulaziz Kamilov holds a meeting with UN Secretary General
On July 6, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Special Representative of the President for Foreign Policy Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is in the United States on a working visit, met with the UN Secretary General António Guterres.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN, issues of regional security and sustainable development.
The UN Secretary General supported the initiative of Uzbekistan to hold an international conference “Afghanistan: Security and Economic Development” on July 26, 2022 in Tashkent. The UN will be represented at the forum at a high level.
Also, the Uzbek side briefed António Guterres about the essence, content and priority areas of the constitutional reform in Uzbekistan.
The parties exchanged views on other topical issues as well.
