Entire territory of Navoi region declared free economic zone

During the Uzbek-Kazakh business forum, the governor of the Navoi region, Normat Tursunov, stated that the entire territory of the region had been declared a free economic zone by a separate presidential decree. He added that now new manufacturing facilities for the production of innovative, export-oriented and import-substituting products will be created in Navoi.
According to Tursunov, today 9 enterprises with the participation of Kazakh capital operate in the region.
During the business forum between the Navoi region and the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan, a "Road Map" was signed to implement measures to further deepen interregional cooperation in trade-economic, investment and cultural-humanitarian areas.
