71 children hospitalized due to symptoms of poisoning in Chust district
Presumably, the poisoning of children is caused by an unknown pathogen. Health Ministry specialists are investigating the causes of the incident. The prosecutor’s office is conducting a pre-investigation check.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, all necessary measures are being taken in connection with the poisoning of children in preschool educational institutions in the Chust district, Namangan region.
It is noted that some pupils of kindergarten No. 23, belonging to the Chust district department of preschool and school education, experienced symptoms of increased body temperature, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
Department officials arrived at the scene and 5 children were taken to the hospital. Later, the number of complaints about deteriorating health increased. They came from several kindergartens and schools. A total of 71 children were admitted with complaints of deteriorating health.
All children admitted to the district medical association receive treatment according to established standards. To make a final diagnosis, the necessary samples are taken and examined. The condition of the children is satisfactory, none of them are in serious condition, 9 of them were sent home due to improvement in their condition.
The situation is being controlled by the Minister of Health. The prosecutor’s office is conducting a pre-investigation check.
