According to Uztemiryulyulovchi JSC, in order to digitize business processes in the railway sector, introduce modern methods of management and effectively use the transit potential of the republic, the decision of the President of Uzbekistan “On fundamental reform of the railway transport sector” was adopted on October 10.
Starting from November, Uzbekistan Railways JSC will lease the “Tashkent-Central”, “Samarkand” and “Kokand” railway stations, as well as the vacant areas located in them, to entrepreneurs on the basis of PPP and contract. An opportunity was created for entrepreneurs to rent stations and empty spaces and develop their businesses there.
There is 4 thousand square kilometers of space for entrepreneurs at the “Tashkent-Central” railway station, which is available for private partnership and rent. Here, an entrepreneur can organize an office space, a hotel, a store, service stations and shopping centers.
According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the proposal of the entrepreneur who wants to rent the free space in the railway stations will be studied and the selected place will be rented through the E-auksion platform.
