Passenger bus caught fire in Tashkent
The reason for the incident was an electrical short circuit in the cabin of the bus.
On November 13 at approximately 16:30, a fire broke out in a MAN passenger bus.
Toshshahartransxizmat JSC commented on the incident, saying that fire and rescue units arrived at the scene at 16:36 and extinguished the fire immediately. There were no casualties, the JSC said.
The company also reported that since the bus was produced in 2022 and has traveled only 97,500 km, the exact cause of the fire is being clarified together with specialists from the Truck and Bus Motors LLC plant.
According to preliminary information, the fire occurred as a result of a short circuit in the electrical wiring located behind the bus driver's seat in the unification unit.
Currently, employees of the production and technical department of Toshshahartransxizmat JSC are also conducting an internal inspection.
