An electric vehicle for transporting waste will be tested in the Jizzakh region.
The first electric vehicle for transporting waste was delivered to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change reported.
“The electric car, imported in partnership with the Chinese company Chengdu Shiny Technology Co Ltd., is important primarily because it does not emit toxic emissions into the atmosphere and does not harm the environment,” Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov noted.
The Chinese company announced that in the future it plans to produce electric vehicles for waste collection in Uzbekistan.
The first garbage truck running on electricity will be tested in the Jizzakh region.
The electric garbage truck is imported from China by Eco House waste cluster.
“The compact electric vehicle is capable of removing up to 3 tons of waste from populated areas during the day and transporting it to special landfills,” Jakhongir Khudoyberdiyev, head of the Eco House waste cluster, noted.
