Back-to-back bus fires in Tashkent spark concern
A passenger bus caught fire in Tashkent's Sergeli district today, marking the second such incident in the city within 24 hours.

The fire was reported to the city’s Emergency Situations Department at 11:51 a.m. The incident occurred at the intersection of Yangi Sergeli and Kipchak streets. Emergency responders arrived at the scene within four minutes and extinguished the blaze by 11:57 a.m. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
This follows a similar incident in the Yunusabad district on the evening of December 18, when a passenger bus caught fire at a bus stop. No one was injured in that incident, but the vehicle sustained technical damage.
Authorities are investigating both cases to determine the causes of the fires.
