Uzbekistan sees 31% increase in outbound tourism in 2024
The number of citizens of Uzbekistan traveling abroad reached nearly 5.7 million during the first 11 months of 2024, marking a 31.3% increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Statistics Agency.
The rise equates to an additional 1.35 million travelers, reflecting a growing trend in outbound tourism. Neighboring countries remained the most popular destinations, accounting for the majority of trips.
Among the top destinations:
• Kyrgyzstan: 2.7 million visitors
• Tajikistan: 1.1 million visitors
• Kazakhstan: 888,600 visitors
• Russia: 275,100 visitors
• Turkey: 214,200 visitors
• Saudi Arabia: 166,400 visitors
• UAE: 114,700 visitors
Citizens of Uzbekistan also explored other destinations, including Egypt (41,300 visitors), Kuwait (34,300 visitors), South Korea (22,000 visitors), and various other countries (160,800 visitors).
