The fire broke out in a residential building for workers in the village of Malorechenskiy. At the time of the incident, 39 individuals were inside the structure. Thirty-three people managed to escape on their own, one of whom sustained injuries.

“During firefighting efforts, the bodies of six men were discovered,” stated the ministry.

The blaze, which engulfed an area of 300 square meters, was extinguished by 14 emergency specialists with the aid of four firefighting vehicles. Preliminary investigations suggest the fire was caused by violations of electrical equipment usage rules.

This incident is the latest in a series of fires involving Uzbek nationals in Russia and neighboring countries. On December 15, a citizen of Uzbekistan suffered severe burns covering 90% of his body in a fire at an abandoned building in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. Similarly, on February 15, several Uzbek nationals were injured in a fire in the Kazakh city of Aktau.
