Uzbekistan repatriates 11 citizens left stranded in China
Through the efforts of diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, 11 Uzbek nationals who found themselves in challenging life circumstances in China have been returned to their home country.
The embassy provided consular and legal assistance to the citizens, and with coordination from the Chinese side and Uzbekistan Airways' representative office in Beijing, they arrived in Uzbekistan on December 22 on the Beijing–Tashkent route.
"Close cooperation has been established with relevant Chinese ministries and agencies, and systematic efforts will continue to provide quality legal assistance and prompt consular services to compatriots who find themselves in difficult situations in this country," the statement read.
Earlier, it was reported that a young family in a difficult situation in Novosibirsk had also been repatriated to Uzbekistan.
