Yashnabad district governor awards himself 62 million UZS bonus

Social media platforms spread the news about a decision by the governor of Yashnabad district, according to which the head of the 1st Sector (i.e., the governor himself, Bakhtiyor Rakhmankulov) was recognized as the "most proactive" in the region. Consequently, he was awarded 61,875,000 UZS as an incentive. The Agency for the Development of Public Service provided comments on this matter.

According to the statement, Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 536 provides for an assessment of the effectiveness of sector activities to address social and economic issues at the local level, strengthen direct and open dialogue with the population, and foster regional development through the agency's automated system.

Based on the results of this assessment, winners are determined at the regional level in the "Most Proactive Sector" category. Monetary rewards are allocated as follows: 200 BCU (base calculation unit) for 1st place, 150 BCU for 2nd place, and 100 BCU for 3rd place.

By order of the governor of Tashkent city, following the assessment of the activities of 48 sectors across 12 districts, the head of the 1st Sector of Yashnabad district, B. Rakhmankulov, secured 2nd place and was granted a monetary reward of 150 BCU.

According to the above-mentioned Cabinet of Ministers Resolution, the bonus is paid from additional local budget sources.

"On October 24, a corresponding resolution was adopted by the governor of Yashnabad district, according to which 61.9 million UZS were allocated to B. Rakhmankulov. From this amount, 12.4 million UZS were withheld as a single social payment, and 5.9 million UZS as income tax, leaving B. Rakhmankulov with a payment of 43.6 million UZS as a monetary reward.

Given the above, the information disseminated on social media was distorted, and it is clarified that the head of the 1st Sector of Yashnabad district, B. Rakhmankulov, was rewarded in accordance with the law," the agency's statement reads.
