Specifically, 730.1 billion UZS ($56.54 million) worth of electricity and 679.1 billion UZS ($52.56 million) worth of natural gas resources were misappropriated this year.

During control measures conducted throughout 2024, 8,289 violations related to the illegal use of natural gas and electricity were identified, according to UzEnergoInspection.

As a result of these violations, damages totaling 1 trillion 409 billion UZS (approximately $109.05 million) were inflicted on state interests. Of this, 730.1 billion UZS ($56.54 million) were related to electricity (including 91 mining farms, 184 CNG stations, and 1,422 water pumps), while 679.1 billion UZS ($52.56 million) were associated with natural gas (including 57 CNG stations, 64 greenhouses, and 5 lime production facilities). Licenses for 51 CNG stations involved in violations were revoked.

Additionally, 9,084 administrative cases were documented related to violations of rules for using energy resources by consumers.

From analyses of samples taken from gas stations and enterprises, 189 cases of substandard petroleum products, amounting to 5.348 million liters, were identified, and their sale was prevented.

Under directives issued to consumers with a capacity of 50 kW or higher, 25,730 consumers were required to install devices for compensating reactive energy. As a result, the power factor was improved in 26 substations and 671 networks. Furthermore, administrative protocols were drawn up against 1,523 consumers who failed to comply with the directives.
