Uzbekneftegaz doubled its gasoline supply in December amid restrictions on gas filling stations
In December, Uzbekneftegaz doubled its gasoline supply amid restrictions on the operation of automobile gas filling compressor stations, while also increasing its gasoline reserves nearly fourfold and reducing diesel prices by 15%, the company's press service reported during a briefing.
Last month, the daily volume of gasoline AI-80 offered at exchange auctions increased fourfold: whereas in November, 1800-2000 tons of gasoline were offered daily, from December 11 to 18, the daily volume reached 8000 tons of fuel.
In December, a total of 130.4 thousand tons of gasoline were offered at the exchange, of which 94.7 thousand tons were AI-80 gasoline. Compared to the same period in 2023, the volume of fuel supply doubled, and the supply of AI-80 gasoline increased by more than half.
Uzbekneftegaz assured that there are "sufficient reserves in the necessary volume" to provide the population with gasoline and diesel. The state company also increased its gasoline reserves nearly fourfold to 60 thousand tons.
Additionally, it was reported that from February 19, 2024, diesel fuel prices will be reduced by 15% through the compounding of synthetic diesel components at the Bukhara Oil Refinery, and the production capacity for diesel fuel will be increased.
"For the convenience of consumers, diesel fuel will be sold at exchange auctions in small lots. The oil depots managed by the company have all the necessary infrastructure for supplying both gasoline and diesel fuel to consumers, including agricultural enterprises," the statement said.
According to Uzbekneftegaz, there were no disruptions in diesel supply last year. The issue of meeting the population's demand for gasoline and diesel fuel is under daily control
by the leadership of Uzbekneftegaz and industry enterprises, and all available resources have been mobilized for this purpose, the state company emphasized.
