Tashkent buses transport a record number of passengers in one day
On Monday, January 13, passenger buses in Tashkent served a record 1,332,974 passengers, according to the press service of JSC "Toshshahartransxizmat."
This marked a significant 38.6% increase in passenger traffic compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, since January 1 of this year, cash payments have been completely phased out in Tashkent buses. Passengers are now required to pay using a bank or transport card, or purchase one-time tickets with a QR code.
Earlier, it was reported that Tashkent would expand the city’s fleet with 1,000 new buses in 2025.
