At the start of the meeting, President Mirziyoyev expressed gratitude for the invitation and warm hospitality, congratulating the UAE on the successful hosting of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
The discussions focused on the enhancement of Uzbekistan-UAE relations in various areas, including politics, trade, economics, investment, innovation, and cultural and humanitarian collaboration.
It was emphasized that the peoples of Uzbekistan and the UAE share common historical roots, similar traditions, values, and a connection through the sacred Islamic religion.
President Mirziyoyev's visit was noted as a historic milestone in bilateral relations, marking the elevation of ties to the level of strategic partnership.
In recent years, trade turnover, investment volumes, and the number of joint ventures have increased severalfold. The number of direct flights has grown, and visa-free travel arrangements have been introduced.
As part of the visit, a portfolio of new projects, primarily in high-tech industries, was formed in collaboration with leading UAE companies.
To strengthen political ties, both leaders highlighted the importance of advancing dialogue between their respective foreign ministries.
The two leaders outlined a new model of economic cooperation, focusing on six key areas: artificial intelligence, digitalization, green energy, urban development and infrastructure, tourism, and private business. They agreed to establish dedicated working groups for each priority sector.
Both sides supported the proposal to designate 2025–2027 as the “New Era of Economic Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and the UAE.”
In this regard, the primary objectives were set to increase bilateral trade tenfold and expand the investment portfolio to $50 billion by 2030.
Uzbekistan expressed its interest in further strengthening business ties between the two countries and expanding UAE companies' investment activities in Uzbekistan.
Special attention was given to increasing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
