Uzbekistan and Mongolia to introduce electronic system for cargo transport permits
Uzbekistan and Mongolia have agreed to double the number of cargo transport permits allocated for 2025 and are set to implement an electronic system, E-Permit, to streamline the exchange of permit forms and accelerate cargo transportation, according to the Ministry of Transport's press service.

A meeting of the Joint Uzbek-Mongolian Commission on International Road Transportation took place at the Ministry of Transport, where the significant potential for further strengthening cooperation in international road transport was highlighted.
As part of the agreement, the two sides decided to double the number of permits allocated for 2025.
In November 2022, the E-Permit system was introduced for the first time between Uzbekistan and Turkey, following an initiative by the Ministry of Transport. The system was designed to speed up transport operations and boost trade between the two countries.
In April 2024, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan launched the E-Permit system for international cargo transportation permits. The system is currently operating in test mode, managed by specialists from the “Digital Transport” center at the Ministry of Transport.
Later that year, it was announced that Uzbekistan plans to simplify cargo transportation with Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries. The Ministry of Transport is in talks to introduce E-Permit with Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan.
Additionally, the Ministry of Transport aims to sign new international road transport agreements with Belgium, Armenia, Serbia, Norway, Croatia, Albania, and revise existing agreements with China, Iran, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.
