Kazakhstan and EU begin talks on visa facilitation agreement
Negotiations on a visa facilitation agreement between the European Commission and Kazakhstan have already begun, according to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
During her visit to Kazakhstan, Kallas met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who welcomed the initiative. He emphasized that the agreement would create new opportunities for strengthening interpersonal and business ties between Kazakhstan and European nations.
The Kazakh leader also reaffirmed the country's commitment to resolving international conflicts through diplomatic dialogue.
During their discussions, both parties reviewed prospects for further cooperation within the Central Asia–EU framework, exploring ways to deepen engagement across key areas.
