Massive solar power projects set for Karakalpakstan and Jizzakh
Investment agreements have been signed between ISSV, SANY Renewables International Investment Co., Ltd., and China’s Liquip International for the construction of large-scale renewable energy facilities in Uzbekistan.
As part of the first Samarkand International Climate Forum, the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan signed a number of documents aimed at promoting the development of a green economy in the country.
Specifically, an investment agreement was concluded between ISSV and SANY Renewables International Investment Co., Ltd. for the construction of a 1,000 MW wind power plant in Karakalpakstan.
Additionally, China’s Liquip International signed an investment deal to build a 500 MW solar power plant in Forish district of Jizzakh region.
