India’s Reliance Industries expresses interest in Uzbekistan’s telecommunications market
Reliance Industries, which holds a stake in one of India’s largest communication and digital service ecosystems – Jio – is exploring opportunities in Uzbekistan’s market, according to the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.
On April 10, the company’s CEO, Prasad Panda, met with Deputy Minister Shokhrukh Gulyamov to discuss the implementation of promising joint projects across several sectors.
The discussions included areas such as managing large-scale telecommunications networks, developing digital infrastructure, and introducing high-speed communication and data transmission technologies.
The meeting also touched on potential new projects in the mining and energy sectors. As a result of the talks, both sides agreed on "further joint steps and an active cooperation mechanism" to advance the proposed initiatives.
