Tender deadline for Tashkent–Andijan toll road extended to May 21
The contractor for the future highway is expected to be selected by April 2026.

The Ministry of Transport has announced a one-month extension for submitting applications to participate in the tender for the construction of the Tashkent–Andijan toll road.
The tender is being organized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Committee for Highways, with the support of a consortium consisting of PwC, Arup and Partners, and CMS Cameron. The process of receiving Requests for Qualification (RFQ) began in January.
The deadline for submitting RFQs has now been moved to May 21 of this year. Additionally, interested parties can submit clarification requests until May 5 inclusive.
The selection process will take place in two stages. In the first stage, companies are invited to submit an RFQ. Those who pass the qualification stage will then be required to submit their technical and financial proposals for the project. The winner of the tender is expected to be announced by April 2026.
Further information can be obtained by sending inquiries to the Uzavtoyul email address (avtoyul_invest@uzavtoyul.uz) or to the consultants (uz_tar_tender@pwc.com, tar@arup.com).
The Tashkent–Andijan toll road project has been under discussion since 2019. A new tunnel through the Kamchik Pass is planned as part of the route. The Public–Private Partnership Development Agency has previously estimated the toll for the future road to be between $5 and $6. The highway is expected to be built over six years in three phases: Tashkent–Angren (78 km), Angren–Pap (93 km), and Pap–Andijan (143 km).
Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev stated at TMIF-2024 that the cost of the Tashkent–Andijan highway is estimated at $4.65 billion. However, according to a revised estimate presented in October, the project’s cost is now set at $4.28 billion.
