Click, register, enroll: First grade admissions go digital
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education has announced the procedure and requirements for enrolling students in Grade 1 for the 2025/2026 academic year.

According to the official guidelines, the enrollment process will take place in two stages:
- Stage 1: From June 20 to July 31, applications will be accepted within the student’s local district (micro-district).
- Stage 2: From August 1 to August 15, applications will be open for those applying from outside their designated district.
In certain districts and cities (as listed in a .pdf file), enrollment into Grade 1 will be conducted electronically through the public services portal. Starting from June 20, parents can register and submit applications via the my.maktab.uz online platform.
In areas where public services are not available electronically, enrolled students will be entered into the Ministry’s digital system at adm.maktab.uz by school staff.
The Ministry emphasized that, in accordance with the Law on Education, children must be enrolled in school during the year they turn 7. This year, children born on or before December 31, 2018, are eligible for Grade 1 admission.
