Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with Palau
A joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations with the island nation of Palau was signed in New York.

The document was inked by Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Palau’s State Minister Gustav Aitaro.
“We marked a historic moment with the signing of a Joint communique establishing diplomatic relations between our nations,” Saidov said. “This milestone not only reflects our mutual goodwill but also opens the door to a promising future of cooperation and partnership.”
He noted that the sides would work on building strong, lasting ties between Uzbekistan and Palau.
Palau is an island country in the Philippine Sea in the Pacific Ocean, located 800 km east of the Philippines and north of Indonesia. Its capital is Ngerulmud. Palau has become the 165th country with which Uzbekistan established diplomatic relations.
