The complex will feature multi-storey production facilities, shopping centers, hotels, and showrooms.
Turkish conglomerate Heyal Holding plans to establish a large industrial zone in Fergana region, the regional administration reported.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met in Istanbul with Vahdettin Heyal, founder of the holding group, and leading architects to discuss the implementation of the major investment project, estimated at $350 million.
The new industrial zone will be located in the Kuva district. The site will accommodate more than 15 facilities, including multi-storey manufacturing plants, shopping malls, hotels, conference halls, and showrooms.
The production facilities will be built with smart system technologies, featuring solar panels for power generation and waste recycling units. The project also includes the creation of a vocational training center for local specialists.
In the near future, Heyal’s experts will visit Fergana to jointly finalize the project documentation and begin construction. The Fergana regional administration and Heyal Holding have signed a memorandum of international cooperation.
During the same visit, Governor Bozorov met with representatives of about 30 Turkish companies and organizations interested in investing in Fergana. The discussions covered potential partnerships in automotive manufacturing, construction, jewelry production, energy, agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, and IT.
For instance, Aktiv Group director Mehmet Nükte discussed projects in the hospitality and furniture sectors, including the construction of a new hotel in Fergana and the renovation of historical buildings.
With Aydin Gold head Ibrahim Aydin, the parties discussed new initiatives in the jewelry industry. In a meeting with representatives of SMTR Group, opportunities were explored for launching automotive fuel tank production in Fergana.
Packaging equipment manufacturer Seyhan Ambalaj Makine expressed interest in opening a production line in the Kuva logistics center, while footwear brand Cabani Shoes proposed opening its third store in Uzbekistan, after Tashkent and Samarkand.
Governor Bozorov previously met Vahdettin Heyal twice in October. The first meeting focused on plans to establish a new industrial zone and a jewelry complex. During the second meeting, held on October 25 with the participation of Turkish businessman Bilal Shirin, it was noted that 25 major projects are planned for the zone, with six already having concrete proposals.
