Eight of Our Wrestlers Will Go to the Olympic Games

Members of the Uzbekistan National Freestyle wrestling team Bekzod Abdurahmonov and Abbos Rahmonov successfully performed at the 2nd Olympic Games World Qualifying Tournament held in Turkey.
In the weight category up to 74 kg, our experienced wrestler Bekzod Abdurahmonov won Padipat Wantawong from Thailand, Albert Yurchenko from Latvia, Amirhan Visalimov from Austria, Sayakbay Yusupov from Kyrgyzstan, Taymuraz Friev from Spain and, taking first place, got the right to participate in the Rio Olympic Games.
Abbos Rahmonov performed in the weight category up to 57 kg, defeated Muhammad Bilal from Pakistan, Pedro Rodriguez from Venezuela, and Samat Nadirbek from Kyrgyzstan, won a silver medal and a ticket to the Olympics.
Thus, at the Olympic Games the honor of our country will protect the masters of Greco-Roman wrestling - Rustam Assakalov, Dilshod Turdiev, Elmurod Tasmurodov, Muminjon Abdullaev, freestyle wrestlers - Ikhtiyor Navruzov, Magomed Ibragimov, Bekzod Abdurahmonov and Abbos Rahmonov.
