The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for privatization, demonopolization and development of competition (State Committee) held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank, dedicated to the perspective directions of development of the e-procurement system in Uzbekistan.
The meeting was organized within the framework of the World Bank mission on assessment of the procurement system under the leadership of Hunt La Kasyan, senior procurement specialist. In the framework of the meeting the parties discussed the achievements of Uzbekistan in the field of e-procurement, the perspectives of further development of the industry, in particular the wider application of electronic auction and electronic catalogue, as well as the introduction of electronic bidding.
Following the discussion, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in this sphere.
