Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan discuss border issues

On Oct. 2 - 8, 2018, a regular meeting of the working groups of the Joint Uzbek-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held in Turkmenabad (Turkmenistan).

During the meeting, the sides discussed the results of joint topographic-geodesic works carried out at selected sections of the Uzbek-Turkmen state border, and agreed terms of further fieldwork.

Following the talks, a Joint Protocol was signed.
