Ban on free plastic bags comes into force

Ban on free plastic bags will affect all stores, supermarkets and shopping centers. The decision on this regard was made in May 2018. 
 
Thus, from now onwards, customers will have to pay for each plastic bag provided in retail stores. The cost of the package is around 250 soums. 
 
The decision to ban giving plastic bags was made because of the current situation in the country: mass free distribution of plastic bags in all shops and shopping centers led to the fact that the country was practically filled up with plastic garbage.
