New Institute is established under the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan
The special faculty of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was transformed into the Military Institute of Information-Communication Technologies and Communications of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan.
On January 17, the corresponding resolution on the establishment of Military Institute was signed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported.
The document states that the first military institute in Uzbekistan is the state supreme military educational institution of the Ministry of Defense. It provides biennial training for tactical unit of officers in the following six directions:
• Command-engineering tactical communications troops;
• Command-engineering tactical special communications and protection of state secrets;
• Command-engineering tactical information systems and technologies;
• Command-engineering tactical radio-electronic intelligence and combat;
• Command-engineering tactical radio-engineering antiaircraft defense forces;
• Command-engineering tactical antiaircraft missile defense forces.
