State-subsidy scheme may be introduced for constructing hotels in Uzbekistan

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan dated January 5, 2019 “On measures to accelerate the development of tourism industry”, a joint project of the State Committee for Tourism Development and the Ministry of Finance has been drafted by the Cabinet of Ministers, the press service of the Tourism Committee said.

The project envisages approval of the Regulation on the procedure for allocating funds from the State budget to partially finance costs of investors for construction and equipping of new hotels, as well as costs related to using popular hotel brands.

At the same time, the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of the Regulation on the order of granting subsidies to investors for construction and equipping of a new hotel and allocation of funds by the State budget for partial financing of the organizations on the basis of franchising agreement” has been offered for public discussion. Citizens were asked to actively participate in the discussion of the draft decision.
