Science Olympiad results factor in university admissions – Presidential Decree

According to the Presidential Decree PP-4306 of May 3, the list of international Science Olympiads, whose winners are admitted to state universities without tests and additional examinations is approved. In compliance with it, winners of the following five international Science Olympiads are given such preferences:

1. International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)

2. International Physics Olympiad (IPhO)

3. International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO)

4. International Biology Olympiad (IBO)

5. International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI)

It should be noted that the status of international and regional Olympiads, not mentioned in the list, is equal to the national stage of the main Science Olympiads and their list is determined by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.

That is, except for the above mentioned 5 international Science Olympiads, students who have won all other stages of the Olympiad will not be granted the above preference, but rather be provided with a maximum score in a particular exam.
